Americans represent a culturally and linguistically diverse consumer
segment, as 90 percent of the Asian American population comes
from six distinct nationality groups:

of the U.S. population at approximately 13.1 million people.
Asian American households possess the highest
per capita income of any other group. In the aggregate, they represent
about $397 billion per annum of total purchasing power in 2005.
Asian Americans also index high in educational
attainment, entrepreneurship/business formation, and in-home internet
usage and penetration.
Chinese represent the largest Asian sub-group,
followed by Filipino, Asian Indian, Vietnamese, and Korean.
